This is a pretty interesting picture. The has to be in a time of social and political decline, probably during the Vietnam War. By looking at the people around the body we can conclude that they are students from college. During the Vietnamese era, students of Kentucky State were killed by guardsmen who were being thrown rocks at and verbally taunted. Honestly, I don’t know if this is a picture from that horrible event. If it is, that would explain the back round which looks like a big school campus. Also, in the Kentucky State event, I believe the students were shot when they encountered a hill. We can see a small hill in the back. What I can’t understand though is the reaction of the other students. One of them seems sad, most likely a friend of the deceased, while the others are either looking somewhere else or just plainly ignoring the dead student. If you ask me, that’s not normal behavior.
